'Exercise Noor' delivered.

Beirut provided the backdrop for two days of intense workshops where 'Exercise Noor' was delivered to delegates from Iraq, Jordan & Lebanon.

'Exercise Noor' was a table top exercise developed and designed around a fictitious outbreak of a highly infectious virus. On this occasion, Ebola, a rare and deadly virus that causes fever, body aches, and diarrhoea, and sometimes bleeding inside and outside the body was chosen as the vehicle to test the response of delegates at both operational and strategic levels. Paper based injects were presented to delegates who considered both national and regional responses to such an outbreak.

Specialists from the Emergency Response Department of Public Health England (PHE) provided the training team and exercise facilitation, supported by Dr Mark Salter and Per-Erik Johansson, Director of the European CBRN Centre who operated as subject matter experts.
